Michael is an American teacher, a father, and an expat for more than 30 years since he first moved to Finland. He has dedicated his entire life to learning and teaching and his life mission and passion have always been self-development and inspiring others to do the same.
Seeing the massive impact personal growth and self-improvement had on him since he first discovered Napoleon Hill’s books at the age of 20, he now wishes to be the catalyst for similar life transformations for other people, especially for expats.
To be even more of service, 6 years ago he discovered coaching and NLP and decided to become a Master Coach specialized in Cross-cultural coaching, as he knows the struggles of moving homes and adapting to different environments.
After more than 30 years of living in many different countries, he now enjoys the sweet and peaceful countryside lifestyle as he recently moved there. In his free time, he enjoys quality time with his daughter who visits him often, taking Tai qi and boxing classes and meditation daily. His most extreme hobby was taking a swim in icy Finish water - the Finish way of boosting your immune system :) Ouch!
“Think and grow rich”- Napoleon Hill
and “The Psychology of winning”
- which he holds dear to his heart as they’ve influenced his life and are still present on his nightstand.

Advice for Expats
“Learning a new language and a new culture is the most difficult thing you’ll ever have to do, but also the most rewarding one. For us to assimilate them, our brain needs to expand, and with it, so do we. Learning a new language and adapting to a new culture will force us to develop personally and that is in itself an amazing thing. It’s either you expand, either you collapse, there is no other way.”
And I am an expat spouse, just like you. My journey started 30 years ago and for the last 6 years, I've dedicated my life to helping other expats feel at home wherever they are.
I hope I'll get to know you, too.
